My Flying Dreams Come True

Remember the Circus? Remember those flexible people hanging and swinging above a huge net wearing fancy glittery costumes called the Flying Trapeze? I remembered growing up enjoying watching circus shows on TV (they normally show on Singapore channel during school hols!)and i particularly enjoyed the Flying Trapeze acts the most! Growing up, the excitement came back when i found out that Club Med Cherating offers the Flying Trapeze as one of their things-to-do. Ive always wanted to go but with the price of staying there equivalent to a trip to Bali, it's just not worth it. Well, i couldnt sell it to my travelling buddies. :p But it's always been on my to-do list. Then i got married and moved here and haven't been thinking about it. Then, last November when we've got visitors from M'sia, we took them to Sydney Olympic Park and just opposite the stadium where we parked our car, we saw Flying Trapeze swings and net set up and that got me all excited! I made a quick...

My Chocolatey Easter Long Weekend

Image
Check this out! I got this from my Easter bunny..heheh..We spent our 4-day Easter weekend down the caravan. Besides the long holidays (that unlike M'sia, we do not get a lot!), i was mostly looking forward to the chocolates of course. :) Eggs & bunnies came in various sizes and colors. We got heaps of chocolates from our fellow caravanners, I came back 4 kilos heavier - no kidding. It was a very relaxing weekend for me. Did pretty much nothing but chit chatting with the girls, chocolates, playing Quiddler, more chocolates and reading a thick novel - something that i don't do very often. Michael on the other hand, spent most of the time fixing up his caravan. Together with his friends, they worked 3 out of the 4 days finishing the paving and getting the new bbq built. He also vacuumed & cleaned the place and it now looks more homey & comfy and very ready for guests from Malaysia (hint hint :p) As for the 1kg egg above, NO we haven't finished it yet. We...

Lucky or Not?

I took another driving test last weekend and believe it or not I got the same lady tester! I was told that there's heaps of testers and they're not always scheduled to the same venue & time. But that day, eventho there's 3 other testers, i was lucky/unlucky enough to get her again! Not just that, at 8.30am on a Saturday, traffic's supposed to be calm. But no no, it was unusually hectic that day. Lots of big trucks and police cars not giving way to the lil car with a big L plate. My lady tester was pretty nice to me actually. She remembered me from last time and told me not to stress and all. Sad to say, I did VERY badly. I did not even signal to turn left, did not do headchecks when parallel parking, speeding at humps (what?), doing turns in 3rd gear..bad bad bad! We're supposed to do a 3-point turn AND parking. She made it clear at the start of the test that I'll hafta do them both at some point of the test. But last time, i only did the 3-point turn. T...
