We're In!

It's been almost 2 weeks since we moved in and Im so totally loving it! You know the feeling when u very first meet that special someone and finding yourself falling more & more in love everyday? It felt a lil bit like that ;) It was a lil awkward in the beginning, couldnt really sleep that very first nite and woke up really early the next morning. But after that, back to normal, snoring away and so hard to get up and had to rush for the train! The walk to the train station is exactly 7 mins. It's breeeeeeeezy! Just a straight walk passing other houses along the area, stop at traffic light, cross it, and the station's just there. Im on the train bout 10 mins longer tho cos our house is further south, but overall, it's still the same. I still leave the house the same time to arrive normal time in the city. Lucky for Michael we're closer to his workplace now, so it only takes him 15 mins instead of 30 mins to drive. Michael has finished off the bathroom work c...

Eurovision Karaoke Party

Image
Another weekend's coming and i still haven't updated about our Eurovision party for Jess' birthday last week. Work's been crazy with one colleague off to her home country in Sri Lanka for a long holiday (dengki le ni! :p) and what with the whole bathroom reno. Well, not that i have any input on that but we're still at my in-laws and i don't wanna stare at the computer when i get home from work (nak jadik menantu mithali le konon..ahaks!) So here's some pics from the party. It was CRAZY fun...Michael and i dressed up as a Polish/Turkish couple with the white & red theme as per flag colours. I did not sing tho, cos i didnt think there would be soooo many people around! Not only guests from Jess' party, but the restaurant's holding 3 parties at the same time & we're sharing the karaoke!! Malu le konon...but more so cos the microphones not so cool. You can't really hear yourself singing like those karaoke mics in the small rooms in...

Al Fatihah

I just found out that my aunty ( cousin's beloved ma) passed away this morning - lung cancer. We only jz found that out about 2 weeks ago and i was still adjusting to that news..and now, she's gone... It's just so very hard & frustrating to be so far away when all u wanna do is be close to family & comfort each other. I just really don't know what to do.... Dearest family, friends & readers, I humbly ask if you would kindly join me in offering prayers & sedekahkan Fatihah to her. Deeply appreciated. I can't believe she's gone :(

Back with the In-Laws

We've successfully moved out of our 73 stairs house at Grays Pt after getting the keys to our new home last Friday afternoon! Straight after, Michael was already demolishing the old bathroom and had been working all weekend on the new bathroom reno. So whilst waiting for that to be ready, we're staying with my in laws at Loftus. Just like how it all started when i first got here where we spent about 5 months staying with them. I remembered in the beginning how i would try to avoid calling them by name cos i wasnt sure how to address them - aunty & uncle? mom & dad? Michael says i should just call them Tom & Imelda cos NO ONE calls their in-laws mom & dad here. Also, i'd just get laughed at if i call them that. But i thot it's a bit rude to call them by name, you know? Like, i can't imagine my sister calling her in-laws Bakar & Mimah. Apa punya menantu? :p Over time, after experiencing all other couples calling their in laws by name & mostly...
