My 2013 Is Just Beginning

Image
The 1st quarter of the year has passed and this is the 1st post for 2013. What's been going on?  A LOT.  I have no idea what happened. Well ok, I had a little bit of an idea.  This happened...  ..and this... ..and now there's Keek and OMG I haven't even started on the more important things that's been happening in my life; like Michael and his unbelievable and remarkable work situation, Ayisha's new school and her morning 'no school' battles, Eli's fast growing teeth & sloppy kisses, looking after my ailing mum...  Even with the Instagrams and WhatsApps and Keek that's been helping me stay in touch with my friends & family even more so than before, I still feel the need to blog. I have so much that I wanted to say that it keeps me awake at night sometimes, I feel like the words should be bursting out of my mouth.  From petty things like how I don't want Eli to think that I didn't lo...

Blame It on Adam & Hawa

Miss us? Man, I miss my blog!  We're still here, alive & well. So much to tell, too many updates. Don't really know where to start.   Right now, we are back in my hometown of yummy ice kacang & best chicken chop, JB. Been here about a month now. I could've updated earlier but we've been busy.  There's weddings & new babies (my baby sister gave birth and I haven't even blogged about her wedding yet! erk..) & my babies & settling in & Edward Cullen...   OMG! I love love love Breaking Dawn 2! Don't care about the Robsten affair drama. Ok, I did care a little bit & got all emotional when they broke up. Bit sad lah that they're over. But now they're back on and am super sad that the movies are over! :( I wanna watch it again & again, the uncut version please!  Thank you to my awesome hubby - the day before my sisters & I went to see the movie, he surprised me with a Do-Not-Disturb-Mummy day ...

Back for 2012 Wedding of the Year

Ayisha & I are back in JB. This time, for my baby sister's wedding!!! Auwwwww!!! I still can't believe my kanak-kanak Ribena sister, Limah, is getting married. But she is, in a week's time. It might not be a Twilight wedding with super hot Cullens as she dreamed of but I'm sure it will be 10 times more incredibly awesome especially with us super-hot-non-white Hasmonis. :p with her equally cute  kanak-kanak ribena soon-to-be groom

JB - KL - Bali Again

Image
We're now back in Bali. As always, it all felt too quick. We arrived late Sunday night. Delayed flight with Air Asia separating mother & child when we did our web check-in. What's that all about? It was ok that Michael & I got separated but to separate Ayisha too? We emailed our complaint only to be served with 'you should buy your seats' automated response. When we requested to be seated together at baggage drop off, the staff said she couldn't help. On the plane, we were hoping good people would kindly swap seats with us - same ones, only different rows. But they both wanted to be directly behind their other family members and refused to swap just across the aisle. The thing is, in the middle of the flight, one of them moved to the front next to her family who happens to have an empty seat next to them and another lady moved to who knows where. One came back every now and then (maybe to check if we took it!) then at the last minute, came back way after se...

When in Jay Bee..

Ayisha and I just spent 2 weeks in my hometown, Johor Bahru. To those who doesn't know where is where in Malaysia, "You know Singapore right? Just next door." is my standard answer. JB rocks! I am sure if Ayisha could remember the things that she did everytime we were there, she would've agreed with me. It amazes me how when we arrived at my parents' home in Kempas (which by the way, is the coolest place in town yo and will be talked about in a different post) 2 weeks ago, Ayisha remembered which room was supposed to be our bedroom - next to Cik Limah's, my youngest sister and possibly her favorite aunty (will tell why later), where her toys are - upstairs in the storeroom, and where the fridge is - of course, where her lil mini magnet toys reside. The house is no mansion but to a 2 year old, I thought she'd be confused with the many little set of stairs and doors that lead to mysterious & unoccupied rooms because only 1 of the 7 of us siblings sti...

Back in the Land of Ice Kacang with Chocolate Syrup

Ayisha & I are currently back in Malaysia. Michael came with us and was here the weekend we arrived but has been back to Bali working for a week now. So it's just the 2 of us and we have another week here. It's so good to be back home with family again. It's always hectic as we're trying to see everyone in JB & KL in too short a time. We came back to spend more time with my mum who hasn't been too well and I wanted Ayisha to spend as much time with family so I didn't really get around catching up with my friends as much as I wanted. It's extremely fun watching her with her cousins. I love how she quickly warms up to them and how much they enjoy each other's company. She's older now and is joining in with her older cousins playing & imitating whatever they do - laughing hard like she understands and trying to jump & run as fast. I've been telling Michael how much she's grown up in just the 1 week that he's not around it...
