Last week was all about Michael. It's his birthday and we celebrated twice - with his family and another with his friends. The nite before his birthday, claiming that his birthday has already started (after sunset) I gave him one of his presents - Mario Olympics Wii Game. This of course, is for my enjoyment as well cos i've just tried it at Yuz's the weekend before and it was loads of fun!! :p I also made cheesecake that nite for him to bring to work. It was an instant no-bake one, made with digestive biscuits as the base and mixture of cream cheese, condensed milk and lemon juice as the filling, topped with whipped cream. I was not so confident to bake a cake cos last year i tried, it turned into biscuits. So, no-bake cheesecake should be the safest way to go. What's not to like? Cream cheese -gooood, condensed milk - gooooood, whipped cream - gooooooood (like Joey in FRIENDS:p). The next morning, i woke up an hour early and made......ta da....ROTI CANAI!!! wooho...

It started last Friday after work, I met up with Yuz in the city to hang out with her. Ken (Yuz's hubby) is away so I was more than happy to teman her for the whole weekend. Yuz's been craving for chilli crab and ive never tried it here so we went to the supposedly best chilli crab in Sydney - Harry's Singapore Chilli Crab. Lina also joined us for dinner and we shared a 1.3kg extra spicy chilli crab which was soo yummmooooo!! We thought of having jz the crab but since Yuz got this 'buy 2 mains, get 2 entrees free' voucher, we went ahead and ordered mussels in black bean sauce, prawn cutlets and salt & pepper calamari. We stuffed our guts till they hurt soo bad! Very the pedas but SOO gooood! After dinner, Lina suggested desserts (kenyang tapi curious, so yes aje lah) & brought us to this very cosy cafe in Randwick that sells heavenly cakes. Remember how I was taking driving lessons to get a NSW licence? How i've been doing it for a while cos my instructor said i wasnt ready yet and all? Well she finally sent me to the test after i passed her mock test. We went to RTA (JPJ) last Saturday and ........ I FAILED!! :(((( SOOO saaaaaaaaaad!! WHY?? Ni yg geram ni!!! The not-so-friendly looking test lady said she had to fail me because i did not do enough HEAD CHECKS (u know, toleh kiri toleh kanan to check for traffic?).....Hang on a minute!! I DID do my head checks. That's one of the things that my instructor has been emphasizing the most! Don't forget head checks & mirrors cos they're so strict on that. And i did not forget! I even leaned my body forward in case she did not see my head moving left and right - at intersections, while changing lanes, looking for pedestrians..oh yesss, i did all that..BUT no no no...she said, I did not do enough head checks..AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS!!!
