Big Red Non-Wiggles Car

Image
About a month ago, i bought Ayisha her first DVD. It was a kidsongs DVD that has all your favorite kiddies song but it's very old school - kids wearing short shorts and rollerskates and the mothers/teachers wearing big hair and padded blouses. Squeaky LOVES it. I wasn't sure about letting her watch TV at all at first. Felt a bit guilty for using it as a babysitter when Im around to look after her. But I guess we both need time off each other and after seeing our friend put 'Beauty & the Beast' for her son, I went looking for more. :p She's not into Disney movies yet tho. I bought Cinderella cos that's my favorite but she got scared of the screaming mouse. So we kept putting the same one over & over till Michael couldn't stand waking up to 'Lou Lou Skip to my Lou' in his head anymore and we went looking some more. I figured maybe she likes real people & real kids so we tried HI-5 and Wiggles and of course, she loves em. Especially when ...

Eat. Pray. Lov’in Ubud

Ubud is a must-see if u’re visiting Bali. Especially now, if you’re a big fan of Julia Roberts like myself and of course, the EPL book & movie, more the reason for you to check out where Ketut Liyer lives. I’ve been to Ubud once pre-EPL and even then, I LOVED it. Post-EPL, I love it even more and whenever I go there, it’s always a different feel and I find myself discovering something new every single time. In Ubud, it’s so much more relaxing and enjoyable going through the market and walking the shops along the roads. Maybe Im just getting old or maybe now, with Ayisha in tow, I just find it much more convenient & fun as it’s just more child-friendly - the roadpaths, the sights, etc. Whenever we go places, we love to try new things to eat. Ok lah, we just love to eat. First time I came to Ubud, we found this lil stall at the back of Ubud market and that was probably our...

Happy New Year - 2011

2010 has been a year filled with lots of happenings - here, there and everywhere and we ended it with a whole lot of love. My relatives from Malaysia have come & gone and although it was very hectic and busy, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Ayisha in particular was showered with loads of love and attention from her grannies, aunties, uncles and her 5 cousins. We went to lots of places to enjoy the wonderful sights of Bali, did a lot of shopping and had some beach time. The weather wasn’t so great so they did miss out on the breathtaking sunset at Tanah Lot and exploring the beauty of Ubud because of the heavy rain. It’s a shame though but enough reason for them to be back for another visit! Kintamani Soon after they left, we were off to Sydney for the Christmas holidays. It was sooooooo good to be back in Oz, I didn’t realize I’ve missed it so much. I honestly did not know where the 2 weeks has gone. We really weren’t ready to leave. It was a bit differe...
