JB - KL - Bali Again

Image
We're now back in Bali. As always, it all felt too quick. We arrived late Sunday night. Delayed flight with Air Asia separating mother & child when we did our web check-in. What's that all about? It was ok that Michael & I got separated but to separate Ayisha too? We emailed our complaint only to be served with 'you should buy your seats' automated response. When we requested to be seated together at baggage drop off, the staff said she couldn't help. On the plane, we were hoping good people would kindly swap seats with us - same ones, only different rows. But they both wanted to be directly behind their other family members and refused to swap just across the aisle. The thing is, in the middle of the flight, one of them moved to the front next to her family who happens to have an empty seat next to them and another lady moved to who knows where. One came back every now and then (maybe to check if we took it!) then at the last minute, came back way after se...

In JB After the Wedding

Image
We're now back in my hometown, JB. The 11.11.11 wedding was good. It was just great to be surrounded by family again. It went pretty quick tho. I didn't get to spend that much time with my aunty and cousins because we're following my parents back to JB soon after the wedding. But we''ll be back this Friday for the groom's reception and I can't wait for that one! It's always much more fun when it's the family's side of the wedding. The big day started really early but luckily Ayisha was all in a good mood, despite the lack of sleep. She's all shy at first but soon she's all 'Up & down & shake, shake, shake" in the middle of the crowd. Ha with the groom, Uncle Amir, right before the solemnization Doa right after the akad , at one point Pooh too has to make doa :p my aunty & cousins with the newest member of the family My aunty Mona is my mum's younger sister. We've always been close to her famil...

Home for 11.11.11

Image
We're going back to Malaysia tonight!! Wooohooo! My cousin is getting married tomorrow, along with the many other couples who've chosen this sexy date to tie the knot. I know this for a fact because his solemnization is as early as 8.30 am, the only time  left  his Imam's available - all other slots are booked out! Not a problem, I love weddings. Furthermore, this is FAMILY. So I'm super excited to be back for this one. :) After the wedding, we're going back to JB with my parents & Limah (ice kacang here I come!!) and will be back in KL the next week for the reception on our family's side (the groom). Not sure when I'll get to update next. So till then, here's some pics of Squeaky! Playdate with Putu Ela - our friendly neighbour & also friend from school! Watch out daddy! I'm taking over!

Busy February

Image
Im trying to start my post with something other than 'We've been busy..' or 'Lots of stuff happening... ' but I can't. The main reason is probably because i've only been updating my blog once a month instead of weekly or daily as i very much wanted to. But seriously, we've been pretty busy this month. Ayisha is the busiest one actually, growing up every single day. She turns 8 months today. :) So the biggest happening this month would hafta be my sister's wedding. My in-laws were here for this special occasion and stayed for about 2 weeks so we've been pretty busy with them the whole time. Besides the wedding, we also went to Krabi, went shopping, Melaka, more shopping and a lot of eating along the way. It's also Michael's birthday month so he gets to celebrate the whole time too. :p Ayisha on the other hand, has been oh so super busy with her crawling, babbling and growing teeth!!! It all started as soon as my in-laws arrived from...

Seafood Platter, Antenatal Class & A Wedding

Image
Belated Mother's Day Celebration Last Friday night, we took Michael's parents to Sea Level - a seafood restaurant at Cronulla beach for a belated Mother's Day treat. My SIL, Vicki & hubby Darren also joined us and we all had the seafood platter for two. It was HUGE and it was gooooooood! First time having watermelon juice here that's just like home! It was also a little thank you from us for all the many many things that they've done especially in this past couple of months in anticipation of the arrival of our lil'un. Seriously, i think 90% of the things that we have in our baby room or the new stuff that we've got for the house for that matter, came from Michael's parents -baby seat, my maternity clothes, my big comfy bolster that helps a lot with me sleeping comfortably at nite, rugs, curtains, to name a few. Whenever i ask Michael to get something done or discuss the things that we need for the house/baby room, he'd always joke that ...

Love Boat Wedding & Tummy Pic

Image
Last weeekend, we attended another wedding. This time, it was Paul & Lisa's beautiful garden wedding. The ceremony was held at the Botanical Gardens - facing the harbour bridge and the Sydney Opera House which was just perfect. Then later on the reception was held on a cruise boat called The Pontoon. Of course, it was all so magnificent! My only worry was how I'd cope on the cruise. As it is, i sometimes get seasick even when the ride is all so calm. Being pregnant, i was terrified if my morning sickness decided to make a comeback. Luckily, i was all ok and we had a good time. I didn't dance at all this time. Just sitting upstairs outdoor enjoying the view and waiting for the finger foods ;) So here's some pics at the wedding and of course, myself with my tummy. I am still not that big especially if Im standing up. People still can't believe that im 6 months pregnant. But sitting down, i definitely am a fatty. :p On a totally different topic al...

I Love Weddings

Image
When I was a little girl, i used to dress up my lil sisters & younger cousins in my ma's long dresses & heels complete with sequinned scarves & flowers as veils and made them sit on two chairs and watched them get married :p As i get older, whenever i attended weddings, id often find myself dreaming about what my wedding would be like - the perfect dress, perfect cake and perfect men (i was single and imagining different men at different weddings lah :p) After i got married, going to weddings would remind me of my own wedding day of course, then all the different kinds of emotions would come flooding back to me and made me wanna go thru it all over again and more! Be it back home or here in Oz, weddings are such a happy & joyous occasion. When you see the bride & groom, no matter how extravagant and big or private and small the event is, you always get a warm fuzzy feeling inside and can't help feeling the love floating in the air that makes you feel ...
