Everyone's Reading and/or Watching...

I heard bout The Secret few weeks ago from K.Yuz and the title itself was very intriguing. So far, ive been enjoying all the books that she'd recommend from time to time - Da Vinci Code, Tuesdays with Morrie.. so when she mentioned bout this new book she read that she absolutely love and helped her tremendously, i went looking and got one for myself. I didnt know it was a motivational/self-help book and was thrilled to find out that it is. I love these kinds of readings. I even read the skeptic and anti self-help book reviews and in the end, i'd rather feel good about myself instead of being negative. As i am already a very very lazy person, i need all the positivity i could get!

In all the motivational books that i read, it's almost all the same - dream, work hard = success. In everything that u do, uve got to work hard for it, i do believe that but i also know how very lazy i am and im also without a dream. Up till now, i still dunno what i wanna do! Few yrs ago i read 'Rich Beyond Ur Wildest Dreams' and it's the only book that doesnt stress about working hard, which i like! :p The Secret is kinda like that too. It's all about asking for what u want and receiving it and helping others along the way, the more u give the more u get kinda thing and to always be grateful for what u have. I accept them cos it's what we were taught to do- always offer doa, always bersyukur, always sedekah etc.

So anyways, not to sound like such a motivational post, The Secret emphasises on thinking of what u want. If there's anything that u want in life - wealth, health, relationships etc, have a read and TRY IT. If u don't like to read, watch the DVD. See if it works for u. Michael & i have been trying to use it as much as we can, we started small jz to 'test' and see the results and it's been working for us so far. As simple as, wanting the lights to be green all the way to work or wanting to catch the train on time. Another secret also, is NOT to think of what u don't want. So, no thinking of missing that train at all!

Which brings me to what happened to me in less than 24 hours. Last Friday, i went to immi to get a visa stamp on my passport that allows me to work. Weekend was spent totally relaxing with Michael. Monday i started looking and applying for jobs on the net. YESTERDAY, early morning i got a call from my agent, met up with her at lunch, went for interview jz 2 hours after that and got offered the job rite away and....im starting work TOMORROW! How shocking is that? It all happened really fast and It's just unbelievable how quick and painless the whole experience was!!

All day yesterday, from the day i stepped out of the house to catch the bus & train on time, walking around the city like crazy braving the rain, ive been trying to put The Secret into practice and it amazingly worked for me. Everything went smoothly & i am jz SO grateful for that!

I am still tryin to accept that today is the last leisure day for me whilst Michael's trying to accept that we'll start to share the cooking and cleaning after this...;)
