BECKS - Bending it in Sydney
David Beckham's here u all! And yessssss, im a fan! hehe..Not football crazy fan altho i do enjoy watching him play..but more like, Becks Posh crazy -read all the gossip mags (NW, Woman's Day, Hello), watched all the Beckhams story (Rebecca Loos interview, Ali G interview, Beckingham True Story doco etc) fan. I think he's really really yummy looking & i love that he's with Posh. I don't mind her at all! I think they make a really stunning couple. I know some people just loathe & had enuff of them but a LOT of people actually do admire him as a person as much as his talent on the field (maybe not so much his voice lah..:p)
It's Beckham's 1st ever visit to OZ & 80,000 + Sydneysiders went to the stadium to watch the friendly game Tuesday nite between LA Galaxy & Sydney FC and thousand others watched it on tv. Everyone's talking about it the next day at work! It's funny how it's ALL about Becks! Didn't matter that LA lost.. cos Becks scored his famous bendy free-kick goal. THAT made front page news! He is pretty cool actually. I watched the game at home with my Becks (yeah, i put him as Becks in my hp, saja berangan..hehe..no similarities whatsoever except for the shaved head maybe..:p jadikle..)
It was such a fun game to watch! Especially cos the focus was mainly on one & one person only - # 23. Someone else would score the goal and the camera would focus on Becks' reaction & the commentator would try to guess what Beckham's feeling. Not to mention the scream u hear from the crowd everytime the ball got to Becks or even passed by him! Girls wanna be with him, guys wanna be him, they say!
Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay, enuff bout that Becks..
MY Becks had his own soccer match last weekend. It's an annual gathering of good friends catching up and playing a very relaxed game of soccer - normally at the end of the year, as a remembrance to one of their good friends who passed away while they were growing up. Almost everyone that got invited (mostly his friends from high school) would make an effort to come and at the end of the day, everyone would make a lil donation to be passed on to an organisation that they've agreed on. I thot that's pretty great. It was my second match actually, last year they had it in December, the day that i actually arrived in Sydney when we moved back here. How time flies!
This weekend, my brother's coming to visit!! Woohoo!!! He's got work in Gold Coast till Monday and will arrive there tonite. But he's flying to Sydney for the weekend just to see us!! YEA!! Such a short trip tho but im glad he's making it to Sydney. I think he feels like he has to come & make sure that im all ok (ie. check up on me :p) but i also think cos he misses me lah! ;) It's just gonna be him tho, wish the whole family's coming!!!
ps: I wanted to find a pic of bald Becks that MITE look a lil bit like my Becks and put them side by side to compare but cannot find lah! Sah-sah le memang tak sama pun! hahahahahahaha...
