Movie Marathon ANZAC Weekend

We had a long weekend last week cos Friday was ANZAC public holiday. Supposed to go down the caravan but Michael fell really ill and at the last minute - 1 hour into the drive down the coast and after we stopped by kebab stall for dinner, he decided he couldn't continue on and would rather rest at home. I wasn't fussed either way cos caravan wouldnt be enjoyable with him all sick (me gotta do everything lah!) :p

He's all good again after 24 hours but we thought it's best for him to jz rest the whole weekend and so decided to stay home and do NOTHING! So the long weekend was spent jz lazing around, lots of eating and watched all these on DVD:

1. Gallipoli - in the spirit of ANZAC, was hoping to learn more about the whole Gallipoli-ANZAC history but didn't learn so much in it. Mel Gibson was SOOOO young in it!

2. The Bucket List - Jack Nicholson & Morgan Freeman, gr8 actors but movie so-so..

3. I Could Never Be Your Woman - never heard of this b4, but Michelle Pfeiffer's in it, hafta be good. And yeah, loved it!!! Older woman-younger man r/ship, with Paul Rudd (Phoebe's hubby in FRIENDS) - cute romantic comedy!

4. Georgia Rule - for a Lindsay Lohan movie, its a lil bit serious than expected!

5. Shooter - Marky Mark, yumm

6. Charlie Wilson's War - anything with Julia Roberts, I like!

7. 88 Minutes - Al Pacino, psycho thriller stuff. I like it, Michael doesn't.

8. Vacancy - Kate Beckinsale & Luke Wilson, konon scary movie but SUX so bad!

9. Heartbreak Kid - Ben Stiller, FUNNY as!

10. Knocked Up - seen in on the plane b4, still good 2nd time around.

11. Holiday - again, 2nd time watching it cos Michael hasnt seen it. LOVE it! Jude Law oh soo sexy!

12. I Am Legend - been hearing lots of gr8 reviews on this, we think it's OK.

WOW!! Can't believe we watched all that in one weekend! Oh, another movie - Great Debaters, but that doesnt count cos i fell asleep!!

Oh, last week another friend of mine from school came to Sydney - Iym, C-10 geng. She came for training but i think that's only for about 2 hours or so :p I met her during my lunch break and took her & hubby and her youngest, Haris (who slept all thru lunch!) to the famous M'sian Laksa House at QVB.




Took them around QVB and showed her my favorite shop - LUSH! It is a very PRETTY shop and smells even prettier! She was snapping away happily in the shop! (sabo jek Iym!) Salesgirl there was pretty cool tho and even offered to snap a pix with all of us in it. Sah2 tourists :p





It was TOO short but i was soo glad i got to meet up with her & her family!

Ya Ampun, tak terbeliak ke mata nengok wayang? Aiseh...wish I could do that, but my man jenis tak tengok wayang lah, he'd rather do something else bila takde benda nak buat....keh keh keh :p

anyhoo.. the holiday is awesome. watched it for more than 10 times and i still think jude's the man. :D

K.Di: tgk dvd at the comfort of our own lembek all snuggled in front of the TV with endless supply of food from fridge!

Ateen & Leymah: THAT day will come! And I'll be waiting with open arms!!!!! ;)

Ateen - part Jude with his 2 kids in the movie, so SWEEEEET i can eat him! :p

The Last Week

I went for my last check-up yesterday. Everything's good. The baby has definitely turned and is facing the right direction. The heartbeat & movements are strong and there's not enough room for him to move all the way back up again. Just to stretch, kick and punch like crazy.   I also got my Group B Strep (GBS) results and just like my 1st pregnancy, it came back positive. I'm not sure if they do this test anywhere else but what it means is that I'd have to be on antibiotics during labour. It's actually a type of bacteria that about a quarter of women carry in the vagina and there's no symptoms. It doesn't affect me at all but can be quite harmful for the baby apparently. So the antibiotics are necessary to help prevent it being transferred to the baby.   I do have another check-up scheduled for the next 2 weeks, just in case the baby decided to hang around & chill in my belly for a bit longer but the midwife said because Ayisha came quite o...

Introducing Our Lil'Un - 1 Week Old

A week ago, on Monday the 29th June 2009 at 12.03pm our lil'un arrived out of my watermelon tummy weighing 2.95kg, measuring 51cm. YES! It's a girl!! Meet our lil precious one, Ayisha Claire Laidler: I think she has a lot of ME in her ;))) And MAYBE Michael's ears lah. :p She arrived on 40 weeks +1 day, according to the scan & my calendar count, due date was 28th June. But i just realized that Dr Chan's due date on my medical card has always been the 29th June. So yeah, he can have the bragging rights. :p I can't believe it's been a week. I really do wanna take the time and write everything that i can remember right from the start because i had such a wonderful experience having her, i don't ever wanna forget it. But that would have to be spread out over many many posts. I dunno how long i have till Ayisha's up again for a feed and today is the first day i felt i have some me time without feeling too tired and aching everywhere. My parents ...

The next Squeaky!!!! A lot of you guys are absolutely correct! We are going to be a family of 4 by May next year, Insya'Allah. :) We've had 'the code' on our fridge for the last few months but people who came to visit and saw it couldn't guess the right answer. So, bravo bravo bravo!!!! :))) And thank you for the wishes too, we're very very excited! I am 3 months pregnant now and just had my 1st scan few days ago in KL. Looks pretty much similar to Squeaky's 1st scan but I think the nose is not as flat.heheehehh The whole experience is very different than when I had Ayisha, except for the morning sickness. Urgh..I forgot how horrible morning sicknesses can be. By the way, it should be called all day sickness too. I was weak, nauseous & blergh the whole day most of the time and really not up to doing anything.
