My Somewhat Special Weekend at the Caravan
It was supposed to be just another weekend down our caravan at Merry Beach. But right from the start, everything about it has been different than normal and very extra 'MERRY' indeed!
Of course, we took our new car and it's just so much comfy & smoother drive.
My SIL, Vicki decided to tag along. (that's the QUIDDLER game, btw)

My MIL & nephew Jaydan, came to visit while on their way to visit Michael's aunty for the school holidays. (the boys coming back from hassling the kangaroos)

We finally took our secondhand recliner that we bought from Salvos for 20 bux and it's oh so comfy!

And best of all.....
Michael & I went on our very first HELICOPTER RIDE...at the caravan!!!!!!! How's that?? Unbelievable!
It started like any other typical day at the caravan. Woke up at about 10'ish, had eggs & mushrooms on toast for breakfast, reading magazines catching up on the goss, when we heard a loud roaring sound up in the sky..
As we don't get much entertainment down the van, we ran thru the park trying to follow the sound and when we got to the entrance of the caravan park, we saw this big green helicopter having just landed to drop off 3 ladies from Canberra who decided to have a picnic down Merry Beach. (sabo jek la lady2 of leisure ni! :p)
We're being such busybodies checking out the heli inside & out. Ive never seen a real one so close before! It was too cooool! The owner of the heli, upon seeing so much excitement surrounding her eagle (yesss, she's a LAAAAADY with her own heli!) offered a short joyride to those interested. Michael jumped at the opportunity straight away. Me on the other hand, not so thrilled lah! I wasn't prepared for it! If i was gonna do something adventurous, i need to psych myself up & prepare emotionally ok. I was getting butterflies in the stomach and all. I do wanna ride a heli...SOMEDAY maybe..not at that very moment no..not when we're supposed to have a normal relaxing doing nothing at the van. I was freaking out & not willing to join him.
Michael switched on his 'little boy wanting a new bike' look complete with the 'it's my first time, it can be our first time together on the heli' pujuk rayu and the next thing i know i was up in the air!

AND IT WAS AWESOME! It's a short 10-min ride but it was just AMAZING! Im sooo glad he made me ride the heli :)

Other than that, it's still a caravan life down there.. doing the dishes in the bucket, trailer thrashing..:p

Oh, by the way, the house is officially ours now!!! 23 days till we move in! Yippeee!!!!
