A Night at the Mediterranean

Last Saturday we celebrated Vicki's 25th birthday (she's forever 25) under the watchful eyes of Cleopatra, Nefertiti & King Tutenkhamen. Seated in Cleopatra's Lounge at Pharaoh's Restaurant with 20 other guests, we enjoyed the never ending flow of Egyptian & Mediterranean cuisines and the mesmerizing moves of the exotic belly dancer.

We knew we're in for a BIG treat with the banquet feast of 14 mezza dishes plus 3 mains which, by the way, are all halal, woohoo! But the boys got an even bigger treat when halfway thru the nite, an amazingly beautiful figure with perfectly tanned skin, minimally covered by a tantalising gold costume, appeared from behind the curtains and started shaking her booty like no one's business.

She was very very attractive and extremely talented. The whole performance was so very entertaining but a teeny bit unexpected maybe. Well, i didn't really know what to expect cos it was my first belly dance show. To me she's just absolutely gorgeous and sooo very flexy on the hips! However, some of her moves i thought were a lil bit inapproriate especially when she started inviting other guys to shake & dance with her ie. poking her boobies right in front of someone's face, but i thought that's the norm and so i tried to be cool lah. But apparently, according to Michael who was so sure the other boys would agree with him, her performance was so close to or most probably, the best buck's party he ever had!

SAY WHAT???

For one, he said her body's more like a stripper's - not like he's seen one before, so he claimed (iyo la tu!). No offence to belly dancers but from what i heard, they're normally a bit older, bit chubbier maybe, not blond with a fake tan and admired more for their talents rather than their body or looks. But this Pharaoh's belly dancer is a whole package. She's VERY sexy, very bendy and also kinda kinky i should add. As for her moves, Michael, who've seen belly dancing before, said that they were absolutely 100% totally inapproriate for a public restaurant! Like i said, the boys were def having an extra jolly good time.

I was a lil bit uncomfortable sometimes especially when she was seductively dancing with the guys, what with the fasting month and all. Tried not to gawk so much. But most times she was just captivating. Balancing a sword on her head whilst her hips ain't lying, i was more admiring her i guess. Michael was also trying to be good to save his puasa bonus points and most times tried to act like he was still busy eating just so he wouldn't be called as one of the 'lucky' guys that she would invite to dance. He was freaking out when she jiggy'ed towards us and started shaking her perky boobies in front of Adam (Jess' partner) who was seating next to Michael. What's more, the dancing just went on and on and on, maybe 4-5 full songs. Thank God Michael didnt get picked! It was so much fun watching others tho..heheheeh.

Overall it's a very fun night. It is definitely a place that i would take my family for a night out in the Shire. Food's fantastic, the ambience's just terrific. They even have a fortune teller in their harem room. It is however, certainly NOT kids friendly on Friday & Saturday nights;) But i'd take my girlfriends anytime. Maybe they'll have exotic male dancers soon, who knows :p
