Definitely Baby

I have got SOOOOOOO much to tell but i have been crazy busy. Work's piling up cos xmas break is coming and everyone wants to get everything done asap. In the middle of it all, we've also been preparing to move office. Past few days been busy with all the packing and stuff. We finally moved in today and the new place is AWESOME!

Would love to talk more about my great new location, but more important than that - Ive seen TWILIGHT!! woohooo!! Desperately wanna talk about that of course..but, but, but...what i most wanna talk about is this....

There's something growing in my tummy! Look ere my lil'un...

Cute or not?? heheh...I know there's a lot of pressure out there for me to produce cute babies, but let me tell ya, i think this one's got a Jawa nose like mine...:p

Im now 3 months pregnant. ;))) Didnt talk about it earlier because over here, they don't normally tell people till they reach the 3 month crucial period, u know, just in case something happens. So Michael wanted to wait. It was really hard cos i REALLY wanna tell someone, at least my family. Limah was here at the time so obviously she's the first to know when i shoved my pee stick to her face! hehe..Then after our 1st doctor check, I convinced Michael that we should at least tell family or some close friends. So that's what we did. Back home, we found out straight away when someone's pregnant, right?

So after our first scan 2 days ago, we started telling more and more people. I sooo wanted to blog about this many times before. Especially with all the stuff that ive been feeling - morning sickness, pregnancy hormones that's making me all teary eyed most times, crazy dreams etc. But with me feeling sick and blergh for the past weeks, i couldnt really blog anyways...so that helps...

We first heard the baby's heartbeat 1-2 weeks before the scan and that was just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! One of the best feelings, hey. And to finally get to see our lil'un during the scan, that was pretty unbelievable too. It's such a relief to hear from the lady sonographer how beautifully & healthily the baby's growing. I was so worried & paranoid. Cos u can't really feel anything this early rite, so i kept thinking is it there? Am i still pregnant? Will the baby be all ok?

Then there's a headache of choosing which hospital, which doctor, give birth here or M'sia (don't get me started on the whole M'sian men married to foreigner can give birth anywhere and claim M'sian citizenship but M'sian women hafta give birth in M'sia to get warga M'sia for bubs). If anyone's got any views on this, please please please share some thots.

We did choose a hospital. Decision made easy cos we jz found out our private insurance didnt cover for private hospital, only private doctor at public hospital. Sucks so bad cos we're so sure when we signed up, we thot we're getting private. The public one happens to be the closest to home, so that's okay lah. Doctor pulak, i was so close to getting a Tom Cruise + Brad Pitt Dr lookalike, but gotta cancel cos he only delivers at private hospital. cheh.. So ended up with Dr Chan, who's no Brad Pitt but we met him the other day and we like him. So that's fine too.

So far, it's been a pretty life changing experience for me. I so felt like my body's been invaded and i have no control of any of it at all. Been feeling so tired and weak and none of that attracting secret stuff and positive thinking helps anymore. Food that i used to love so much, i can't stomach now. It's such a mission for Michael to find something to cook for me everytime.

I am feeling a lil bit better now, i think. The nausea only comes once in a while, am starting to cook again, got my appetite back and i actually did manage to go to work a full week without taking a sicky! I do still dread my train rides, cos sometimes i get all so dizzy and faint, it's just the worst feeling.

Other than that, it's been all good. My family & Michael's family are both VERY excited about it and we have friends and family crying over the news, which just blew our minds. Feeling so blessed that a lot of people around us are cherishing this as much as we are and i believe that their sincere hopes & prayers are all part of it all. We couldn't be any happier! :)

Yipppeeeee...I'm the first to comment here... CONGRATULATIONS ... I'm so so happy for you and Mike... First pregnancy gitulah sis, letih, fenin kefala, hormones going all crazy. It comes with the territory. But then when you finally have the baby in your arms, it all seems worth it and then you forget about what you had to get through to have the bundle of joy in your arms. I should know, I went through it four times. All the best kay...am writing this from Wa's room, she kata she lazy to write so she kirim salam je lah eh... :)

Love to Mike and the Laidlers.

Hello Yan, Edward here, how you doin?

Congrats on your news :)

Just have a think about this ok: I am willing to come around and bite you and your baby for a very reasonable price, say $100 each, then we can live together forever, in a really cool house in the forest and run up trees and play baseball in the thunder storms........ahhhhh me and you together, puts a smile on my face just thinking about it :)

Peace.
